Alexandre Boechat
Graduated in Advertising at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, he moved through several areas of digital artistic production until establishing himself as a video and film editor and director.
As an editor/editor he worked on countless commercials, as well as music videos, television programs, short and feature-length documentary and fiction films. He also worked for ten years as post-production coordinator at the production company Prodigo Filmes.
Among the outstanding works in fiction are: Landau 66, by Fernando Sanches, awarded as best short film editing at the 2008 Brasília Film Festival and the films The Hour and The Turn of Augusto Matraga, by Vinicius Coimbra (winner of the Festival do Rio in 2011 and nominated for Best Editing at the Brazilian Cinema Grand Prix in 2016), Freedom Station, by Caito Ortiz, Galeria Futuro, de Afonso Poyart e Fernando Sanches (2021), O Amante de Julia, by Vinicius Coimbra (2022) and Mort Diplomatique, by João Papa and Draw Five Cards, by Diego Freitas (2023).
In addition to editing work, he was one of the directors and screenwriters of the series 100 Years of the Brazilian Soccer National Team (2014), produced for the National Geographic Channel and of the documentaries 1976 – The Year of the Corinthian Invasion (2016) - Runner-up at Cinefoot – Festival of Football Cinema, 2016 - Neither Heads Nor Tails — The History of Sao Paulo Futebol Clube (2018).
Since 2014, he has produced and directed the YouTube channel Boteco do JB, by São Paulo gastronomic columnist Julio Bernardo, known as Jota Bê. So far there have been 300 videos of interviews, recipes, urban chronicles, reviews of food and drink establishments and production of branded content, with almost 300 thousand subscribers.
Membro fundador da AMC-SP, Associação dos Montadores de Cinema de São Paulo.
